TOKAT REGION PROJECTS
The Turhal district, particularly in terms of antimony, holds significance as one of Turkey's important mineral deposits. Numerous antimony deposits and occurrences are present in the district, with some currently being operated by the private sector. As a result of the studies conducted by the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) in Turhal's antimony fields, visible+probable reserves totaling 200,000 tons with antimony content ranging from 4 to 10 percent, and possible reserves of 22,600 tons have been identified.
In addition to antimony, observations of copper ore occurrences are noted in the surrounding districts. The anomalies detected in our fields are likely associated with copper-gold mineralization, presenting a different ore formation than that of the antimony mining region.
While the region is known for antimony mineralizations and operations, our project reveals distinct lithology-controlled high Au-Cu anomalies unrelated to antimony.
