AFYONKARAHISAR REGION PROJECTS
In the region, the most significant metal deposits are antimony, iron, and manganese ore occurrences. Antimony ore occurrences are generally observed in the districts of İscehisar, İhsaniye, and Bayat, with the Bayat-Cevizli deposit containing 32.49% Sb grade antimony having been exploited in past years. Apart from that, iron ore occurrences are found in the Bayat, Çay, Bolvadin, Sandıklı, Şuhut, and İhsaniye districts. The total iron reserve in Bayat and Çay districts is determined to be 666,000 tons, with a grade of 50.40% Fe2O3.
Emirdağ, İhsaniye, and Bolvadin districts. The most significant among these is the manganese field in Çay district, with a total reserve of 50,000 tons. Uranium has also been detected, although the grades of the occurrences are very low. In a field with high Fe and Cu values, structural element-controlled mineralizations are identified.
